PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex flowmeter, capable of automatically identifying the type of a gas to be measured flowing in a flow channel.SOLUTION: The vortex flowmeter 1 includes: a bypass flow channel 4 in which an alternating flow is generated by a vortex generated in a flow channel through which the gas flows; a pressure sensor 39 detecting a pressure of the gas; a heater 14 disposed in the bypass flow channel 4; a drive circuit 5 causing the heater 14 to generate heat so that a temperature of the heater 14 is higher by a constant temperature than that detected by an ambient temperature sensor 17 detecting a temperature of the gas; a current sensor 6 detecting a current value flowing through the heater 14; a memory 7 storing correlation information between the current value and mass flow rate of the gas for each type of the gas; a mass flow rate calculation unit 81 calculating the mass flow rate of the gas on the basis of a frequency of the alternating flow and information detected by the ambient temperature sensor 17 and the pressure sensor 39; and a gas type identification unit 82 for identifying the type of the gas on the basis of the calculated mass flow rate, the detected current value, and correlation information stored in the memory 7. |
