PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an image forming apparatus while facilitating attachment/detachment of an image carrier and intermediate transfer body.SOLUTION: The image forming unit 96 is used for the image forming apparatus 10 and is composed by combining at least the image carrier 50 and the intermediate transfer body 64 into a unit. The image forming apparatus 10 is disposed in a space sandwiched between the developing unit 42 and a fixing device 90 of the image forming apparatus 10. The image forming unit has a projecting portion 104 guided by a guide groove 102 for guiding the image forming unit 96 so that this unit 96 is detached from an image forming apparatus body 10 obliquely upward toward the front of the image forming apparatus 10. |
