PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 1 with improved durability which does not cause deteriorated productivity by restraining deterioration of a thin rubber chafer portion 9a positioned inside in a tire width direction, and preventing deterioration of a rubber portion in an area adjacent to a bead core 3 due to air filled inside the tire, and a method for manufacturing the pneumatic tire 1.SOLUTION: A radial inner end of an inner liner layer 10 extends to a position O corresponding to at least an outer periphery of a bead core 3 inside a carcass ply 4 in a tire width direction. A air impermeable layer 12 formed of a member different from the inner liner layer 10 is arranged between the carcass ply 4 and the rubber chafer 9 around the bead core 3. Tire width direction inner end portions 12a, 9a of the air impermeable layer 12 and the rubber chafer 9 are nipped between the inner liner layer 10 and an adhesion rubber layer 11. |
