PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring machine capable of simply and inexpensively suppressing subsidence of a ground surface during construction of a tunnel.SOLUTION: This boring machine 1 includes a cutter head 10 for cutting natural ground G, and a boring machine body 20, the inside 20a of which is equipped with a driving means 11 for the cutter head 10; the boring machine body 20 comprises an outer shell member 21 for covering an outer periphery, a bulkhead 22 for separating the inside 20a of the boring machine body 20 and a chamber 20b from each other; a storage chamber 23 which is formed on the inside 20a of the boring machine body 20, and a pushing means 24 for applying a pushing force to a bottom member 23a of the storage chamber 23; the storage chamber 23 communicates with a sediment discharge port 21a which is formed in the outer shell member 21, and a sediment intake portion 22a which is formed in the bulkhead 22; and the pushing means 24 pushes out sediment, which is taken into the storage chamber 23, to the periphery of the boring machine body 20 from the sediment discharge port 21a. |
