PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device for allowing a viewer to view three-dimensional video by stereoscopic vision from the beginning.SOLUTION: The reproducing device 1 reproduces two-dimensional video 42 and three-dimensional video 43 stored on a video recording medium 2. A video recording medium content confirmation portion 52 detects switching of video reproduced from the two-dimensional video 42 to the three-dimensional video 43, according to a play list 41 currently recorded on the video recording medium 2. When the switching of video reproduced from the two-dimensional video 42 to the three-dimensional video 43 is detected, the reproducing device 1 makes control to reproduce three-dimensional test video 44 for a viewer to check stereoscopic vision before the three-dimensional video 43 is reproduced.
