SAFE DRIVING-PROMOTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arouse driver's sense of danger and enhance one's awareness to refrain voluntarily from driving with high crash risks which may cause serious damages. SOLUTION: A safe driving-promotion system includes a means 21 for calculating from a distance between cars and a stopping distance; a collision prone index indicating the possibility of a collision between one's own vehicle and a target; a means 22 for calculating the kinetic energy of the vehicle, just prior to the collision as an index indicating a predicted scale of damage caused by the collision between the vehicle and the target; and means (23, 12) for warning the vehicle driver's cabin of a collision risk and the damage predicted, in the event of the collision on the basis of the collision prone index and the value of the kinetic energy.
