PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generating a large conveying resistance between a sheet which is discharged from an image forming device and a sheet processing device without increasing height of the entire image forming device when connecting to a sheet conveying device, and to reduce the possibility to cause a jam. SOLUTION: In the image forming device capable of connecting the sheet processing device which carries a sheet discharged from the image forming device by a discharge means 22, the discharge means 22 is directed in a first sheet discharging direction while the sheet processing device is not connected to the image forming device by an abutting portion 34a releasably connected to the sheet processing device. The abutting portion 34a is connected with the sheet processing device so that the means discharging the sheet along with a receiving side of a conveying path of the connected sheet processing device is switched to dispose in a second sheet discharging direction which is different from the first sheet discharging direction by connecting the sheet processing device to the image forming device.
