<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream converting device and stream conversion method for performing error concealment of IDR more properly. <P>SOLUTION: The stream conversion method includes: a first step for inputting a compression-encoded moving image stream including periodic IDR, and outputting the moving image stream in a predetermined unit; a second step for receiving output of the first step and analyzing the syntax of the moving image stream; a third step for performing concealment on the moving image stream on the basis of an analysis result in the second step; a fourth step for accumulating and outputting a result of the concealment; and a fifth step for receiving output of the fourth step, and accumulating and outputting the result of the concealment in the predetermined unit. In the third step, if there is an error on the basis of the analysis result in the second step, when there is no scene change, the periodic IDR is changed into non-IDR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
