The car (1) has a battery (4) formed from multiple serially and electrically interconnected cell packs. Each cell pack is formed from multiple cell groups that are electrically and serially interconnected with each other. Each cell group is formed from multiple individual cells e.g. lithium ion individual cells, that are arranged in parallel and electrically interconnected with each other. The battery is arranged in an underbody lining (5) of the car, where the underbody lining is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic. A hydrogen tank is arranged in an engine compartment.
