PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve reduced in the noise caused by the whistling noise. SOLUTION: An inlet 10 and an outlet 11 are formed in a valve body 4. A valve seat member 13 in which a valve hole 12 allowing the inlet 10 to communicate with the outlet 11 is formed is attached to the valve body 4. A valve element 14 for opening/closing the valve hole 12 by separating from and sitting on the valve seat member 13 is disposed on the outlet 11 side of the valve hole 12. A valve stem 15 for openably/closably operating the valve element 14 is connected to the outlet 11 side of the valve element 14. A columnar projection 17 reduced in diameter downward is formed on the inside of the seat surface 16 of the valve element 14 sitting on the valve seat member 13 so as to be rotationally symmetric with respect to the center axis of the valve element 14. The outer upper surface of the seat surface 21 of the valve seat member 13 on which the valve element 14 sits is formed in a rough surface 22. A gas flow passing through the valve hole 12 is disturbed and dispersed by the rough surface 22 formed on the outer upper surface of the valve seat member 13, whereby the noise is reduced.
