The appliance has a receiving base receiving removable accessories e.g. blender receiver (100) or grinding bowl. A driving case contains an engine for driving a working tool carried by each accessory whose operation is controlled by a start and stop switch (5) of the engine. The case has a nut locking device rapidly slowing down the engine after controlling a stopping of the engine by the switch. The accessory has a base plate (102) provided with an activating unit (104) to return the nut locking device to inactive mode when the accessory is used with the case.
