Connector 10 comprising a male 14 and a female 12 component. There is a rotatable collet 16 mounted on one of the male or female component. Collet 16 and the other component have complementary inter-engaging portions 56 to secure the components together. Latch (110, fig. 15) is operable to lock the male and female components together. The inter engaging teeth 56 on the collar 16 and male/female component may allow axial movement between them in a first orientation and prevent axial movement when the collet 16 is rotated to a second orientation. The connector may include annular seals. There may be an indicator/s to aid an operator with the orientation of the collet. The latch 110 may be spring biased or operate as a result of gravity. The connector may be used in borehole pressure control equipment such as a lubricator. |
