<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow operation of an application operating in a background. <P>SOLUTION: In this information processing device, an image 61 of a Web browser as an application operating in a foreground is displayed on a display 12 in a normal mode. The application of a music player operates in the background. When a user inputs a gesture by a hand, it is imaged by a video camera, a gesture command is recognized from a motion thereof, and operation of the music player is controlled. The motion of the hand is displayed as a track 81. Jacket photographs 85-3 to 85-9 of music reproduced by the music player are performed with movement display by a gesture of a left flick or right flick. By inputting the gesture of holding up the hand, reproduction and a stop of the music is controlled.
