<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a pulse detonation tube. <P>SOLUTION: In one embodiment, a pulse detonation system (10) includes the pulse detonation tube (36) including a base tube (78) and a thermally protective layer (82) disposed adjacent to an inner surface (83) of the base tube (78).
