PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of sheets of paper required for printing a plurality of monochrome data. SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus 4 reads monochrome data from a document and sends the data thus obtained to an image processing apparatus 2. The image processing apparatus 2 receives a plurality of monochrome data read by the image reading apparatus 4, converts the data into different primary-color data, superimposes the converted primary-color data into a single color data to produce combined color data, and sends the color data thus obtained to an image forming apparatus 3. The image forming apparatus 3 forms an image based on the color data combined with the image processing apparatus 2. Moreover, the image processing apparatus 2 isolates the color data into a plurality of different primary-color data and sends these primary-color data to the image forming apparatus 3 after substitution of each separated primary-color data with the monochrome data.
