PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery preventing degradation and failure of the battery by surely restricting or cutting off currents. SOLUTION: In the battery 1, a positive electrode terminal 50 includes a cylindrical part 511 closed at one end, and a flange part 512. The flange part 512 includes an outer-side member 51 disposed in a case 30 and fixed, a base part 521 electrically connected with a positive electrode, and a protruded part 522 slidably fitted and inserted into the cylindrical part 511, the base part 521 includes an inner-side member 52 electrically connected with the outer-side member 51 in abutment on the flange part 512, a locking claw 53 normally maintaining electric connection between the inner-side member 52 and the outer-side member 51, a thermal expansion material 59 generating driving force for sliding the inner-side member 52 with heat, and when the battery 1 generates heat, connection by the locking claw 53 is released by expansion force of the thermal expansion material 59 and the inner-side member 52 slides in a direction that the base part 521 is separated from the flange part 512, thereby restricting or cutting off the electric connection between the inner-side member 52 and the outer-side member 51.
