PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm capable of easily conducting inspection operation with a simplified configuration. SOLUTION: The alarm 1 for detecting the occurrence of abnormality in a monitor area and giving an alarm includes: a smoke detecting part 20 for detecting the occurrence of the abnormality; a chassis for accommodating the smoke detection part 20, which is installed in an installation object; a plurality of circuit boards 30, 50 accommodated inside the chassis; an inspection switch 54, mounted in the circuit board 50, for initiating a predetermined operation in the alarm 1; an intermediate case 40 intervening between the plurality of the circuit boards 30, 50; and an operation button 42 which is integrally formed in the intermediate case 40 and is operated for operating the inspection switch 54 from the exterior of the chassis.
