Disclosed is a positive electrode active material particulate powder comprising a compound that contains at least Li, Ni and Mn and has a spinel-type structure, wherein the positive electrode active material particulate powder is characterized by having a Li content (i.e., Li/(Ni+Mn)) of 0.3 to 0.65 by mole, a Ni content of 5 to 25 wt%, a Na content of 0.05 to 1.9 wt% and an S content of 0.0005 to 0.16 wt%, wherein the sum total of the Na content and the S content is 0.09 to 1.9005 wt%. The positive electrode active material particulate powder has a high discharge voltage and is suitable as a positive electrode active material particulate powder for a non-aqueous non-electrolyte secondary battery having an excellent discharge capacity.
