PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device which provides weather information to a user without displaying the weather information overlaid on a map on a display monitor screen. SOLUTION: The map display device includes: a display monitor 16 which displays the map; a current location detector 14 which detects the current location of a vehicle; a satellite radio receiving part 111 which receives the weather information of each region; a receiving memory 112 which stores the weather information received by the satellite radio receiving part 111; a control circuit 11 which extracts the weather information of the current location of the vehicle detected by the current location detector 14 from the weather information stored by the receiving memory 112; and a speaker 17 which outputs sound data evoking the weather information extracted by the control circuit 11.
