The pin i.e. extension chuck (1), has an extension sleeve (7) displaceably held at a base body (2), and a clamping sleeve (14) pushed onto the extension sleeve and firmly positioned opposite to the base body in an axial direction. A mating surface is formed at an inner side of the clamping sleeve, and cooperates with a mating surface of the extension sleeve. The clamping sleeve is elastically deformed in a radially outward manner if the extension sleeve is axially adjusted opposite to the base body from an original position in a setting direction.
