<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newsprint for offset printing corresponding to inkjet which has printability in an offset newspaper rotary press, and is excellent in inkjet printability. <P>SOLUTION: The newsprint for offset printing corresponding to inkjet mainly includes waste paper pulp as a pulp raw material of base paper, includes white carbon as a filler, is paper made without adding a sizing agent in the newsprint, is sized by a surface sizing agent, and is characterized as follows. (a) In a fiber composition of disaggregation pulp, conifer kraft pulp is 15 mass% or less. (b) The length mean fibre length of the disaggregation pulp is 0.7-1.0 mm. (c) In the length mean fiber length distribution of the disaggregation pulp, the pulp of at least 1.2 mm is 20% or less. (d) Coating of the surface sizing agent and a surface treating agent containing a binder is carried out, and a water absorption period is 50-170 seconds.
