PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission mechanism which smoothly linearly moves a driven cylindrical member along the longitudinal direction of a drive guide member by surely rolling a ball in a simple ball retention form without using a screw shaft. SOLUTION: The power transmission mechanism 100 includes the drive guide member 110 including a cylindrical coil body 112, and the driven cylindrical member 120 fitted onto the outer periphery of the drive guide member 110 in a state where a ball group 130 consisting of four balls 131 supported in a rolling manner between coil pitches CP of a coil wire 112a constituting the cylindrical coil body 112 is interposed. The ball group 130 is positioned doubly at equal intervals on the circumference of the driven cylindrical member 120 on one end side of the driven cylindrical member 120. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
