摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically set a dispersion-compensated optical path by speedily and inexpensively measuring the wavelength dispersion amount of all the candidates for the optical path. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of nodes in the ring type optical transmission system has a node control part 24 which controls communication with other nodes on a ring by using monitoring control wavelength and a wavelength dispersion amount measurement part 23 which measures a wavelength dispersion amount between nodes on the ring, wherein the node control part 24 determines a node for holding a wavelength dispersion amount measurement token for measuring the wavelength dispersion amount based on address information about each node by collecting the address information about the nodes connected on the ring (S30), measures a wavelength dispersion amount of the optical path between the node holding the wavelength dispersion amount measurement token and a node on the ring to measure the wavelength dispersion amount by using the wavelength dispersion amount measurement part 23 (S31) and after completion of measurement of the wavelength dispersion amount to all the nodes, transfers the wavelength dispersion amount measurement token to the next node (S32, S33). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
