<p>A high-rigidity oxymethylene polymer resin molding prepared by molding an oxymethylene polymer resin selected from the group consisting of oxymethylene homopolymer resin, an oxymethylene copolymer resin which is a copolymer of oxymethylene with a comonomer copolymerizable therewith, the copolymer having a very low comonomer content, and a mixture of the oxymethylene homopolymer resin with the copolymer. The molding has the properties of: (1) a crystallinity of at least 72 %; (2) an average crystallite diameter of at least 150 Å; (3) at least 70 % of the whole volume of the molding being accounted for by spherulites having a diameter of 60 νm or below; and (4) a thickness of at least 1 mm. The molding has improved crystal structure and mechanical properties, particularly rigidity, improved substantially without using any reinforcing material and is suitable as a material for sliding members, such as gears, bearings, levers and the like, a material for precision members, and a material for electric and electronic components, such as connectors, sockets, and switches.</p> |
