<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent switch to an undesired operation mode by false remote controlling operation in an air-conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller includes: a slide switch 1 for setting either cooler or heater and an operation mode switch 2 for instructing the air-conditioner to select an operation mode. When the slide switch is set to the cooler, operation of a heater operation mode switch is invalidated, and when the slide switch is set to the heater, a cooler operation mode switch is invalidated.
