<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect information on commodities to which tags are attached without using a plurality of tags. <P>SOLUTION: A tag 20 stores a first code, which uniquely identifies a commodity 30, and a second code. The second code is identical to the first code in its initial state and is rewritten by a cellular phone 10A which stores the password number of the tag 20. The tag 20 transmits the second code to the cellular phone. The cellular phone 10A, which stores the first code in association with the second code, acquires commodity information identified by the first code corresponding to the received second code from a server device 40 and displays it.
