PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for setting an applied voltage value applied on an electrifying roller by using a correction value obtained by making atmospheric pressure associated with the depletion state of a surface layer of an image carrier. SOLUTION: A voltage setting part 221 sets the applied voltage value V on a voltage applying part 21. The applied voltage value V is derived from the sum of a reference voltage value V1, an atmospheric pressure correction value V2, a depletion correction value V3, an atmospheric pressure depletion correction value V4 and the other correction value V5. The atmospheric pressure depletion correction value V4 is a correction value which acts in an opposite direction with respect to the atmospheric pressure correction value V2 and the depletion correction value V3.
