PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve camera shake correction performance in a camera module for portable equipment. SOLUTION: A base frame 16 is fixed to a sensor substrate 7 on which an image sensor 15 is mounted. A first frame 20 is supported to be freely movable by a pair of horizontal guides 18a and 18b in the base frame 16. A second frame 32 is supported to be freely movable by a pair of vertical guide shafts 31a and 31b in the first frame 20. A slender first actuator 22 is incorporated in parallel with a top surface in the base frame 16, and a slender second actuator 34 is incorporated in parallel with a side surface in the second frame 32. The first and second actuators 22 and 34 are driven based on a displacement signal obtained from a gyro IC 11, and a lens unit 50 held by the second frame 32 is moved in a plane parallel to an optical axis P to perform camera shake correction.
