<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp for a vehicle aiming at improvement of light distribution performance and light emitting efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp for a vehicle includes an outer tube mounted in a socket which emits light in a DC lighting method, an arc tube which includes a light emitting part and a pair of fine tube parts arranged in continuation to the light emitting part on an opposite side with the light emitting part interposed and is located inside the outer tube and includes ceramic, a negative electrode side electrode and a positive electrode side electrode arranged inside the arc tube, and two lead wires which are connected to the negative electrode side electrode and the positive electrode side electrode respectively and of which at least one part each is located inside the outer tube. The length of the fine tube part on the negative electrode side is made shorter than the length of the fine tube part on the positive electrode side, and the negative electrode side electrode is arranged on the opposite side of the socket with the positive electrode side electrode interposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
