<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of further reducing power consumption of a communication device. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes a main CPU and a sub-CPU. The state of the main CPU makes transition between a sleep state and a non-sleep state. When the main CPU is in the sleep state, the sub-CPU can execute packet processing for sequentially processing one or more unprocessed packets received via a network. When the main CPU 24 is in the sleep state and reception of an unprocessed packet is detected (YES in S72), the sub-CPU 24 starts the packet processing, and finishes the packet processing even if an unprocessed packet remains when the packet processing is continued after an end time elapses (YES in S90). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
