The arrangement (1) has two electric machines surrounded by a common cooling device. The cooling device comprises a cooling passage in a cabinet (2), where the cabinet is designed as a cast part. The cooling device has a cooling coil that is helically extended around the arrangement. The cooling coil has an opening at an end of the cooling device for allowing inflow and outflow of cooling medium i.e. cooling water, where the electric machines are designed as electromotors, and comprise two driven shafts rotatable around a common rotating axis.
