PURPOSE: A speaker module and a portable terminal including the same are provided to improve the appearance of a portable terminal by placing a speaker hole on the body of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A speaker(210) includes a first side radiating a front sound and a second side radiating a rear sound. An enclosure(220) is formed to block the rear sound so that the sound does not mix with the front sound with the rear sound. The enclosure comprises a tool wall unit(221) and a guide unit(223). The tool wall unit blocks the front sound in a location separated from the first side. A guide unit is formed in the form of a flare.
