<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device which improves light-usage efficiency and is comparatively easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a first base board (10); a second base board (20); and a plurality of reflection parts (210), which overlap one another via insulating films, on the non-opening areas of a pixel area on a light incident side base board among the first base board or the second base board, incident light being made incident into the base board.
