The system (2) has two sensors (2.1, 2.6) e.g. pressure sensors, arranged in two hoses (2.2, 2.3) filled with fluid e.g. air, respectively, where the hoses and/or the sensors are arranged in a bumper unit (1) of a vehicle. A pedestrian protection device is coupled with the sensor system and released only when an impact of the vehicle is detected by the sensors. The hoses are arranged in close proximity to each other and formed as a single piece molded part. A channel flow-technically connects inner spaces (2.2.2, 2.3.1) of the hoses.
