PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare gas fluorescent lamp using a phosphor which decreases emission intensity of 310 nm or lower as much as possible, and increases emission intensity of 310-380 nm as much as possible. SOLUTION: The fluorescent lamp used in a manufacturing process of a liquid crystal panel containing photoreactive material includes a phosphor layer formed inside an arc tube, which contains a phosphor activated by Ce<SP>3+</SP>with one of magnesium barium aluminate, gadolinium phosphate yttrium, and magnesium aluminate lanthanum as mother crystal.
