PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting a tray, which allows a tray to be easily and safely mounted even on furniture having three posts so as to have a good appearance and facilitates drawing or mounting/dismounting the tray relative to the furniture. SOLUTION: The structure for mounting the tray on the furniture 1 is composed by supporting the tray 8 for mounting an article thereon by a holding means hung across a pair of front supports 4a and 4a disposed at the front of the furniture 1 and spaced apart horizontally, and a rear support 5 disposed at the rear of the furniture 1. In the structure, the holding means is composed of a tray-supporting frame 7 directed forward and having a C-shape in plan view, a rear frame base portion 7a horizontally directed in the tray-supporting frame 7 is fixed at the rear support 5, and right and left frame side portions 7b and 7b extended forward from the right and left ends of the frame base portion 7a is fixed at the front supports 4a and 4a. Outward flanged edge portions 8e and 8e formed at right and left side face plates 8c and 8c of the tray 8 are hung on the right and left frame side portions 7b and 7b, and the tray 8 is supported.
