PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and provide a method of simply regenerating used tennis balls which regenerates used tennis balls to practice balls by a simple method, allows them to be used on a tennis court or the like inexpensively, allows resources to be reused, and allows regeneration work to be performed in a good environment. SOLUTION: Steam is emitted to a used tennis ball 1 for a prescribed period of time to peel off old outer skins 2a, 2b of the used tennis ball to which the steam has been emitted, adhesive 3 is applied onto new outer skin surface replacing the old ones, one of the two new outer skins 2a', 2b' is pasted along a seam X on a ball surface generated when the outer skins are peeled off, a string 4 is temporarily attached to a part of the seam X, the other outer skin is pasted along the string, the string is taken off, adhesive 5 is applied in grooves of the two outer skins, the part coated with the adhesive and the two outer skins on both sides of the part are lightly brought into press-contact with a plate material Y, a necessary amount of nitrogen-containing gas or nitrogen-containing air is filled into the inside of the ball by using an inflator Z.
