PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge having a ventilation filter which is hard to leak an ink even if a temperature rises while it contacts with the ink, and thermal expansion of air in a case and evaporation of the ink are generated to press the ink to the ventilation filter. SOLUTION: A ventilation filter 13, that is a laminated body of a fluororesin porous membrane and a gas permeable supporting material, is installed to a ventilation hole 14. The ventilation filter 13 has a surface, structured by the fluororesin porous membrane, wherein the surface faces the inner space of the case 1 and becomes a contact surface with the ink 2.
