PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the display content to easily be seen from the front surface direction as well in a case wherein a liquid crystal panel is installed on the top surface of the lid body of an electric rice cooker. SOLUTION: This electric rice cooker includes: an internal pot; a rice cooker body which removably houses the internal pot; a lid body which freely openably/closably covers the upper opening of the rice cooker body; a liquid crystal panel which is installed on the top surface of the lid body, and displays information required for rice cooking; and a rice-cooking heating means which heats the internal pot. In the electric rice cooker, the liquid crystal panel is installed in such a manner that the liquid crystal panel is located under the transparent external cover surface of the lid body, and has a tilting angle which is different from that of the external cover surface.
