The invention relates to a lid and cap assembly with a tamper-indicating safety closure having a lock, and to a lock retainer. The lid and cap assembly with a tamper-indicating safety closure having a lock according to the invention comprises a lid (1) permanently attached to the opening of a container, a cap (2) and a tamper-indicating sealing element (10) that is independent from the lid (1) and cap (2) assembly, has a different colour and is movable, after it is ruptured, from the initial position thereof on the cap (2) to a second position on the surface of the lid (1). The sealing element is inserted into the closed assembly through an opening (16) in the cap (2) and is retained by a retaining element (7) aligned on the lid (1) with said opening (16). The sealing element has a disk-shaped upper end (11), a central pin (12) and a widened lower end (13). The top disk (11) of the sealing element (10) has an outer edge (14) that is sufficiently thick and comprises a lateral border (15) for attachment to the opening (16) in the cap (2). The outer edge (14) is linked to the central region (17) of the disk (11) by means of bridging elements (18). The central pin (12) extends from the central region (17) of the disk (11) and has a wider lower end (13) that forms a catch for the retaining element (7) that retains the lid (1). The retaining element (7) is formed by a well (8) with an opening at the top surface (5) of the lid (1) and flexible claws (9) turned inwards into the well (8).
