PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various options for varying cutoff so as to enhance the flexibility of a printing press.

SOLUTION: The printing press includes: a printing section including at least one printing unit printing images on a web; and at least one compensator unit for varying the direction of travel of the web in the printing section during operation of at least the one printing unit.
