APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROTECTING HDD DATA FOR VEHICLE DVR

PURPOSE: A HD data protecting device for vehicle DVR is provided to prevent data stored in a HD from being lost or being physically damaged by supplying/blocking the power source of the HD according to the fixing state of the HD mounted in the vehicle DVR. CONSTITUTION: A HD(Hard Disk) case(120) is mounted/attached to a rack scheme to a main body of a car DVR(Digital Video Recorder), includes a power input port and a data input/output port, and mounts the HD. A locking unit(130) includes a fixing device which prevent the HD case from being detached. A locking sensor(150) senses a fixed state by a locking unit of the HD case. A controller(170) determines the fixed state of the HD through a locking sensor and supplies and blocks the power source of the HD.
