METHOD FOR DETERMINING TYPE OF DISC AND OPTICAL DISC APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A disk discrimination method and optical disk device are provided to exactly distinct type of disk by compensating a standard time for distinguishing disk by applying an actutaotor with different sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: A light source corresponding to a first object lens is turned on. When moving an actuator mounted to the first convex lens to a disk direction, a first time which is for moving a focus of a beam to a recording layer in a disk surface is measured. A light source corresponding to a second objective lens is turned on. When moving the actuator to the disk direction, a second time which is form moving the focus of a beam coming out from the second objective lens to the recording layer is measured(S105). A standard value distinguishing disk type is compensated based on the first and the second time(S108).
