PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow reuse of an additive, to reduce an addition amount of the additive and a generated amount of waste, and to make the apparatus compact. SOLUTION: The filtration apparatus has a filtration chamber 171 having an inflow port receiving treating object water containing suspended substances difficult to filter and a discharge port discharging the treated water; a plate-like electromagnet 174 set in the filtration chamber, having apertures for passing the treating object water, and attracting by magnetism a magnetic filter aid collecting the suspended substances difficult to filter, added to the filtration chamber as a precoat agent; a filter 173 set in the downstream of the electromagnet in the filtration chamber and filtering the treating object water having passed through the apertures to provide the treated water; and a stirring means 176 stirring by a control means the suspended substances difficult to filter accumulated on the filter aid and the inflow treating object water in the filtration chamber at a given timing of the electromagnet in an energized state. The filtration chamber includes a second discharge port discharging condensed suspended liquid containing the treating object water and the suspended substances difficult to filtrate at a given timing of the electromagnet in an energized state.
