MARKING APPARATUS OF POLARIZATION MAINTAIN FIBER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying the polarizing axis aligning direction of a polarization maintaining optical fiber is provided to search the polarizing axis aligning direction using the variation information of transmission light through the optical fiber and print a mark with respect to a polarizing axis aligning position. CONSTITUTION: A base(110) is prepared. A rotation supporting part(120) clamps and supports polarization maintaining optical fiber. A rotating part(130) rotates the rotation supporting part. A marking part(140) marks on the surface of the polarization maintaining optical fiber. Light source(150) radiates light toward the polarization maintaining optical fiber. An optical detecting part(160) detects light through the polarization maintaining optical fiber. A controlling part controls the rotating part and reads the variation information of light from the optical detecting part.
