PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which can guide a route to a driver of a following vehicle without the need for a navigation device. SOLUTION: The information providing system has a transmitting means that transmits guide point data including position data and image data associated with the position data, a first receiving means that receives the guide point data transmitted from the transmitting means, a storing means that stores the guide point data received by the first receiving means, a retransmitting means that retransmits the guide point data stored in the storing means, a second receiving means that receives the guide point data retransmitted from the retransmitting means, and a presenting means that presents the guide point data received by the second receiving means.
