A fan is disclosed that comprises an electronically commutated drive motor (27) and a bearing tube (62) which has an inner surface and an outer surface. The internal stator of the drive motor (27) is arranged in the area of the outer surface. An external rotor (28) of said motor cooperates with the internal stator (72) during operation. Blades (26) of the fan (22) are arranged on the outer circumference of the external rotor (28). Bearing elements (52, 54), by means of which a shaft (46) that is connected to the external rotor (28) is mounted, are disposed on the inner surface of the bearing tube (62). Ducts that are provided inside the bearing tube (62) allow coolant to flow through the bearing tube (62) during operation of the fan (22).
