<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve power saving or the like by more accurately detecting that an information terminal is put in an unused state by using the sensor of an optical sensor liquid crystal having a display function and an input function. <P>SOLUTION: An information terminal includes: a display part having a display screen configured of a plurality of pixels; an optical sensor part in which sensors for detecting external rays of light are arranged at the pixels; a black pixel determination part for determining the pixels in which the incident quantity of the rays of light detected by the sensor are smaller than prescribed set quantity as black pixels; a black region arithmetic part for calculating the area of a black pixel region in which the pixels determined as the black pixels among the pixels of the display screen are continuously distributed; a state determination part for determining that the area of the black pixel region becomes equal to or larger than a prescribed area with respect to the area of the whole display screen; and a control part for controlling the state of the terminal to be changed to the unused state according to the determination result of the state determination part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
