PURPOSE: A inside-vehicle electronic control module recognizing method is provided to understand automatically the electronic control module mounted inside the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The inside-vehicle electronic control module recognizing method is as follows. The initialization data transmission uses the electronic control module DB to transmit Initialization data to the object car. The electronic control module DB includes the type information of the electronic control module (ECM) which is mountable in the specific car model, and the available product ID information classified by each electronic control module and initialization signal information classified by each electronic control module type. The electronic control module recognizing recognizes the mount or unmount of electronic control module related to the initialization data within the object vehicle, and product ID of the mounted electronic control module, according to the response on initialization data classified by the type of electronic control module.
