PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to increase image quality and to prevent horizontal crosstalk by preventing light leakage of a liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate(120) includes an image pixel area and a data line area of a liquid crystal display device. A data line(128) is formed in the data line between a first insulating layer on a first substrate. A common electrode(124) is separated from two edge of data lines. A shielding layer(122) is formed in the common electrode. A second substrate(150) faces with the first substrate.
